Envy

Yesterday had a really nice long msn chat with a Singaporean wife here who will be going back at the end of this month. Speaking of it, think is rather coincidence coz I happen to see her once at a shoppin mall (Arrowhead shopping mall) here in Arizona with her hubby & their son & I happen to see her blog in Singapore Motherhood.

When I was readin the blog then I realised is her that I saw the other day at the shopping mall. As I needed information as to how to bring my baby for his monthly check up that I left a message in her post & we began startin to chat in msn.

From the chat then I reaslised how easy taking care of her baby is that I am filled with envy. Her baby boy who is 6 months can play on his own, can nap long hours, can sleep through the nite, can sleep by himself, will not fuss nor cry when sleepy. All the points are totally opposite when applied to my baby boy who need people around him to play with him (cant be left alone), dun take naps (even if naps onli 15 mins), cant sleep through the nite (need to feed him 3 hourly), cant sleep by himself (need to carry & coax to sleep), will fuss & cry when he is sleepy.

Was thinkin how come other's babies around me are all so easy to care for & I am so tired just looking after my boy. Although i am filled with envy how easy other babies are, I still keep telling myself is a God's gift that I had my son & I shall appreciate it. I do love him much and treat it as a challenge to me looking after him and just hope it will get better when he grows older.
He is too adorable for me not to love him whenever I see him smiles at me and growing up each day :>

his innocent look

his favourite past time-grabbing his feet to play

Hasn't been sleeping well since the birth of our son, Jervis. Had just moved to Arizona Phoenix about 3 weeks ago and worst now coz Jervis isn't able to adjust to the timing here. He is still used to the Singapore timing, therefore nite time here he doesn't sleep. Every nite we gotta struggle to make him sleep and this can drag till almost 4am in the morning before he can doze off to sleep. The coaxing part to let him sleep isn't easy at all. My mum & I gotta take turns to carry him, pet him to sleep before we put him on his bed. Happily thought that he has slept, but less then 1o mins his eyes are wide open again and the whole process to coax him sleep starts again.

3 weeks has passed but his sleeping pattern still hasn't really improve. Its has been very taxing on my mum & me. Haiz.....

In the morning, is isn't easy to care for him too. Once he wakes up he will require our 24 hr attention, he cant play by himself & will fuss, cry, make noise just to attract our attention to make us go play with him. Even when he is tired & wants to sleep he will fuss & cry too. Sometimes I will just let him cry coz I cant be running to him whenever he cries for attention.

I always think why I had such a demanding boy although I love him much much coz he is too adorable to make me angry for long. Lookin at his innocent face how to be angry. He really makes me hate & love him at the same time.

Hopefully after my mum goes back Spore, he can be more guai if not I think I can die to meet all his demands.

Pictures taken at Crystal Springs Apartment located at W Mcdowell Road.
Look at all his funny expressions :>

See how happy he is

Is another weekend out shopping. For a start we went for our Chinese cuisine lunch at a restaurant called Abacus Inn.

We each ordered our lunch and the food was not bad.

Just as our food arrived, Jervis started to make noise and Joey offered to help carry him out for a walk.

Due to Jervis making noise in the restaurant I had to eat rather hurriedly to carry him so that Joey can continue to have her lunch.

Although I know she doesnt mind to help me carry Jervis but I was pai sei that she had to stop her lunch halfway to help out.

In the end I didnt really get to enjoy my food :<

After a filling lunch, we proceed to Arrowhead Shopping mall to start off with our shopping spree followed by Anthem at the later part of the day to continue our 2nd part shopping.

Due to time constraints, I didnt get to shop much at Anthem as shops are closing at 8pm.

At the end of the day, I had purchased quite a no of stuff.

I bought a pair of Gap slippers, 1 set of bikini, 4 spaghetti, 4 carter rompers, 1 Calvin Klein sweater.

Heee...........

The shopping mall that we went to is rather different from Singapore.

Their stores are much spacious and the people there are very friendly who will greet you with a smile on their faces to welcome you.

Just came to the States about 3 weeks ago with my mummy & my son, Jervis to stay with Daddy for the next 2 years.

Below are some of the pictures that we had taken the first weekend that we went to Anthem outlets store that took us about 45 mimutes to reach.
